How Beauty Without Cruelty South Africa handles refunds on donations, recurring gifts, event tickets and merchandise.

Donations
Donations to BWC are voluntary gifts and are, as a general rule, non-refundable, as funds are committed to campaigns, advocacy and operations shortly after receipt. BWC will, however, consider a refund where a donation was made in error — for example a duplicate transaction, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorised transaction. Requests should be made in writing within 30 days of the transaction, using the contact form on this site, with the transaction date and amount. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.
Recurring (monthly) donations
Monthly donations may be cancelled at any time and will stop from the next billing cycle. Payments already collected before cancellation are generally not refunded, but a payment taken after a cancellation request will be refunded.
Event tickets and merchandise
Where BWC sells event tickets or merchandise through this site, refunds are governed by the cancellation policy and by the terms published for that specific event or item.
Transaction costs
Payment gateway and bank charges already incurred on a transaction may be deducted from any refund where those costs are non-recoverable.
